Etosha is Namibia's premier wildlife park. It has great concentrations of game and wonderful views onto the salt pans which dominate the centre of the park. Encounter by Ongava is situated on the private 30 000 hectare Ongava Game Reserve and shares a common border with Etosha on its southern boundary.
The stone-and-thatch dining area at Encounter by Ongava is the vibrant heart of the camp, where guests enjoy delicious meals overlooking a nearby waterhole frequented by eland, rhino, elephant and other wildlife.
The adjoining bar and spacious viewing deck set the scene for relaxed evenings around the campfire, as the sounds of the bush unfold beneath a vast African sky.
During the warmer hours, the swimming pool offers a refreshing retreat, perfectly positioned near the waterhole so you can unwind while wildlife roams just metres away. Wi-Fi is available in the main area for guests who wish to stay connected.
Night drives, game walks and hides can also be enjoyed on Ongava Reserve. Etosha has good concentrations of Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Black Rhino and all of Namibia's plains game including Springbok, Gemsbok and Hartebeest. Ongava also has White Rhino on the reserve. Birdlife around the waterholes is good.
