You can enjoy exciting game drives during your Etosha National Park Safari. The area is very arid and stark, and in the dry winter months the animals gather at the springs and waterholes along the eastern edge of the Etosha National Park. The animals congregate in considerable numbers and you may see Black Wildebeest, Oryx and Roan antelope.
Etosha means “place of the dry water” which refers to the 5 000km square dry pan that makes up most of the Etosha region. The edge of this now dry pan is ringed by thorn scrub and there are many springs which support the African wildlife during the dry season. You will see many Lion, Elephant and Rhino coming down to drink during the day because of the heat.
