Location of Damaraland Camp

The private 350 000-hectare Torra Conservancy has been proclaimed as a result of the partnership between Wilderness Safaris and the local community.

The Damaraland Camp is located on the north bank of the Huab River Valley in Namibia, 90 kilometres (55 miles) inland from Namibia's Skeleton Coast. The Damaraland Camp presents endless vistas across stark plains, ancient valleys and soaring peaks.

The Brandberg Mountains provide a focal point, almost 100 kilometres (62 miles) to the south. African wildlife is not concentrated, the rare Desert Elephant roams around in this region in northern Namibia. Oryx, Springbok, Ostrich and other hardy desert animals and rare succulent plants somehow manage to eke out an existence in the harsh area of Damaraland.

Damaraland Camp offers nature walks and drives in one of the best wilderness areas in Damaraland, Namibia, where rare animals such as desert Elephants and free-roaming Black Rhino may be seen, along with rare glimpses of Lion and Cheetah.
