Mahale Mountains National Park brings out the true adventurer in you and an African safari holiday at this tented camp in Tanzania allows you to live a real African safari lodge dream.

At Greystoke you can explore the Mahale Mountains National Park on foot or go fishing from a traditional Arab dhow on the majestic Lake Tanganyika - the world's longest lake and second deepest.

Chimpanzee Treks in Mahale Mountains

Chimpanzees abound in the forest and some are so accustomed to human presence that they allow you to sit amongst them. There are other primates too, such as Colobus and Blue Monkey.

In Mahale Mountains National Park there are still no roads - ideal for Chimpanzee treks. Explore the forest paths and tracks made by animals over the years. Hike in the forest up to one of the many waterfalls, before cooling off for a dip in one of the ice-cold rock pools.

Go on chimpanzee treks, deep into the jungle where you will be in awe, watching these intelligent creatures go about their daily life.
