Camp Kipwe is located in Twyfelfontein, Damaraland, Namibia. This area has many ancient Bushmen rock art sites, desert adapted Elephant and fantastic landscapes. The camp is built with a 360 degree lookout and views of the Aba Huab riverbed and surroundings.
Damaraland is a truly unique area in Namibia. This region runs along the inland side of the Skeleton Coast Park (north of Swakopmund and south of Etosha National Park). Khorixas is the main town in this area.
Wildlife that have adapted to the intense climate and terrain in order to survive include the Black Rhino, Elephant, Lion, Giraffe and Mountain Zebra, Gemsbok, and Springbok. The pre-historic plant called a Welwitschia can also be seen here.
Khorixas is the closest town and there is an airstrip in Twyfelfontein (transfers can be arranged for fly-in guests). Namibia has an excellent road network for self-drive visitors.
