Accommodation at Kalahari Bush Breaks

Kalahari Bush Breaks guests have the option of choosing their accommodation between a Guest House, a safari tented camp and camping on designated camping sites.

Guest House

At this Namibia game lodge you are surrounded by primordial, enthralling savanna while the ambience of the guest house itself is both natural and luxurious. You can relax in comfort while taking in a unique and unspoilt landscape - certainly the best of both worlds.

The garden is shaded by worm-Barkfalse-thorn trees (Albizia Anthelmintica) and overlooks a floodlit waterhole where game and birds flock during the day. Natural building materials were used. The colours and patterns have an African feel and traditional Namibian cosiness. A husband and wife team assisted by well-trained, friendly staff conversant in various European and African languages will look after you.

The 3-levelled thatched complex can accommodate up to 16 people (plus 2 guides) sharing. There are 8 bedrooms, two of which is equipped with double beds, and all have en-suite bathrooms. The partly covered lapa can be referred to as the 'heart' of the guesthouse with open fireplace, a kitchen and bar facilities.

Safari Tented Camp

There are ten 3x3m safari bow tents, each equipped with 2 rustic beds, nestled amongst the indigenous camelthorn trees (Acacia erioloba), overlooking a waterhole. The camp is conveniently positioned close to the passing Trans-Kgalagadi Highway and an ideal overnight stop for visitors to and from Namibia. Modern ablution facilities are available.

Flexibility is the buzzword and guests can still participate in drives or walks whilst staying at this Namibia game lodge. Breakfast and dinner is available at the Guest House or even a snack-pack for the road at a small extra charge. Ablution facilities are modern with a rustic touch, all to make the visitor feel that he is in Africa.

Camping Sites

This facility is in close proximity to the tented camp and shaded by indigenous Bastard Umbrella Thorn trees (Akasia Luederitzii). The sites are grouped around an open-air ablution block and would serve the visitor who is on a limited budget or would really like to 'rough it'. Hot water for the showers is provided by a 'Donky' which is a must for a true romantic Namibian evening.
