Enjoy sunset game viewing on the Chobe River by boat to view the incredible sightings of wildlife on the banks of the Chobe National Park. Home to the largest Elephant population, you will be charmed by the huge herds found here, as well as the accompanying Buffalo, Letchwe, Puku, Kudu and Giraffe. Lions and Leopards are also frequently seen in this area.
The Zambezi River is a must see for first time guests to this area and a sunset boat excursion through the beautiful Kasai Channel to this iconic African river is incredibly memorable.
For those keen to have a picture-perfect day, Ichingo also has its own customised photographic boat which enables guests to take advantage of the incredible light and angles found in the Chobe. This must be pre-booked.
Fishing is a very popular activity at Ichingo, offering both conventional and flyfishing. Outstanding guides, well-equipped boats and over 100kms of water including the Chobe, the Zambezi and the Kasai Channel make for ideal fishing conditions.
For birding enthusiasts, you can see over 400 species in this region which combines the riverine forest on Impalila Island and the wetland wonderland of the Caprivi.
Guided walks on Impalila Island are a great way to gain an insight into local village life, to view the unique fauna and flora and to marvel at (and climb) our gigantic, 2000 year old Baobab Tree from the top of which you can see where Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia all meet.
