Chikoko walking trails are operated on the banks of the Luangwa River in a remote and wild area of Zambia, allowing guests to experience a truly rustic African walking safari.
Chikoko Trails camps are situated in the South Luangwa National Park in eastern Zambia.
Access is via Mfuwe Airport (with customs and immigration), then a 2-hour road transfer to camp or a much quicker 15-minute charter flight to Lukuzi airstrip. To reach Chikoko Trails camps, you make a river crossing followed by a walk to camp.
The South Luangwa is a wild and remote park renowned for its considerable wildlife and for pioneering walking safaris.
It is easy to combine a safari in South Luangwa with a visit to Victoria Falls and other safari regions in Zambia and neighbouring countries of Botswana, Malawi and Zimbabwe.
