The name Serengeti stems from the Maasai word 'siring' referring to 'endless plains', and that's exctly what it is. The Serengeti National Park is vast, stretching from the endless grass plains in the south to the woodlands in the north up to the Kenyan border.

The park is 15 000 km, which covers about half of Belgium and the Serengeti eco-system as a whole is virtually the same size as Belgium. Sayari Camp is a seasonal Serengeti safari camp that follows the migration.

The wildebeest migration is the largest concentration of wildlife in the world, thought to be more than 3 million. Over a million Wildebeest move annually from the southern plains, where they give birth between January and March, to the Maasai Mara in the north, and back, accompanied by Zebra and other migratory mammals. Lion, Cheetah, Hyena, Hunting Dog and Crocodiles make sure only the strongest survive.

This Serengeti safari camp in Tanzania offers the unique combination of prime wildlife viewing, Serengeti walking safaris and interaction with local cultures (Maasai, Wakuria) just outside the Serengeti National Park.

Sayari Camp facilities include a rim-flow swimming pool, solar-powered microbrewery, library, lounge, bar, Wi-Fi and spa.
