Massive sliding doors with fly screens create an airy feel, while the serene ambiance of the Zambian night is uninterrupted by generator noise, as only solar energy is used. As you recline in a plush bed, you’ll be serenaded by the sounds of the African wilderness after dark. This unique overnight adventure is a remarkable enhancement to your safari journey, allowing you to fully embrace the enchanting nocturnal atmosphere.
Just a 15-minute drive from Mwamba, the Numbu Star Bed offers a thoughtfully arranged sleeping platform featuring a queen-sized bed, cozy duvet, wash basin, lanterns, and an ample mosquito net. A rustic bush toilet (long drop) can be found beneath the platform. For added security, an armed scout and guide will stay nearby in a boma, equipped with a radio for your reassurance.
Dining Under the Stars
Meals are varied and of a high standard using abundant fresh produce from the Shenton family farm. The bush-style dining and bar area (or 'chitenge'), is set deep into the shade of giant ebony trees.
