Your Mwamba Bush Camp Experience

Wonderfully remote and peaceful, this Zambia accommodation is a relaxed 3-hour walk from its sister camp - Kaingo Camp, both run by the Shenton family.

Set on the banks of the Mwamba River, this Zambia accommodation enjoys shady views of perennial waterholes where animals come to drink. Its chalets are uniquely designed with two large mosquito-netted skylights, which give you the feeling of sleeping under the stars.

By combining both Mwamba and Kaingo Camps, you get to experience two different safari experiences; Kaingo is by the water with concealed hides to view Elephant and Hippo and Mwamba Bush Camp offers mopane forests and open plains. Mwamba Bush Camp has large herds of Buffalo and the Mwamba pride of Lion with impressive dark maned males. Good Leopard sightings are common and Elephant are often at Mwamba's waterhole or even roaming around camp.

Derek Shenton of Shenton Safaris is a small independent safari operator who has followed in his family's footsteps as a third generation wildlife conservationist. You could not ask for a better guide or host in this remote region.
