There are 3 comfortable authentic tree house chalets rising 2 metres above the ground which afford uninterrupted 180 degree views of the Luangwa River. From these shaded and peaceful lodgings, guests can watch the game from their 4 poster beds. Chamilandu in the South Luangwa National Park is a prime game sanctuary and an area of outstanding beauty. This area is remote and untouched; it is unfenced so game can roam freely on the banks of the Luangwa River.
The Luangwa River has an abundance of riverine wildlife, a series of ox-bow lagoons and diverse habitats attracting an intense concentration of game which make the valley famous. The Zambia Walking Safaris were pioneered here. South Luangwa National Park has a dense population of leopard, elephant and buffalo; there is also lion, zebra, giraffe, many antelope species, Hippo and over 400 bird species, all in all there are 60 animal species represented.
