Day 1: On the Cusp of the Kruger

Go on, make full use of that premier airport departure lounge with complimentary drinks and snacks before you arrive on your scheduled flight to Nelspruit Airport. 

Your private road transfer will take you through to the quaint town of Hazyview for a check in at a country estate where you will be staying for the next two nights. Set on a country estate, it is only 10 minutes drive from the Phabeni Gate entrance of the Kruger. 

How about something off the menu once you have settled in? Or if you prefer we can easily arrange for you to enjoy a traditional Shangaan dinner and drum show at the Shangaan River Club where meals are served by the open fire.

Day 2: Exploring the Panorama Route and Meeting the Ellies

After a generous breakfast you will head out on a day tour to discover South Africa’s best attractions such as Pilgrim’s Rest, the Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window and the Three Rondavels. This is referred to as the Panorama Route, and as the name suggests it will take you on a journey laden with the most breathtaking scenery of vast, dramatic landscapes .

You will also get to visit Elephant Whispers, an organization that supports the conservation of the African elephant. It is also a haven for six rescued African elephants, who you will get to meet and learn about. Tomorrow you will be making your way into the Kruger, where you will get to witness these gentle creatures out in the wild.

Day 3 - 4: The Big 5 for a Few Days

No need for an early wake up today. After a late breakfast, you will be on your way via a road transfer into Kruger. This is where the real fun begins. Over the next two days you will set out on game drives on open safari vehicles seeking out the the treasure chest of animals that abound deep in the bush. 

Sundowners will be served during the afternoon drives and staying out after dark will add to thrill of tracking and finding members of the infamous Big 5, but don't forget to look out for all the smaller creatures too. Using a giant spotlight, your tracker-guide will highlight various animals lurking under the cover of darkness, such as caracal, civet, hyena and lion.

While spending time in the bush is great, don’t forget to set aside some time to yourself. There is no need to rush. Take an afternoon to find a spot out on the deck with a cheeky G&T in hand. Indulge in a spa treatment or a gastronomical delight- it’d be rude not to.

Day 5: Flying to the Mother City

After a good night’s sleep in the Kruger, it's time to turn the page in the next chapter of your adventure. Enjoy one last morning game drive before you catch your private road transfer to board your flight to Cape Town.

Original, varied and with a surprise around every corner, Cape Town is everything you think it is and more. The accommodation of choice in the Mother City is a boutique hotel which will reward you with views over the Company Gardens nearby. 

Your next three days in this hotel will be an absolute breeze when it come to getting around. It is ideally located to many of the cities top attractions, as well as the City Sightseeing Bus Stop just across the street to be exact.

Day 6 - 8: Explore Cape Town

Your time in Cape Town is completely flexible and over the next three days you will have ample time to make the most of what Cape Town has to offer. With breakfast included at Hollow Boutique Hotel, you’ll be all set to take on the day. 

Armed with your iVenture Citypass will be your new favourite travel companion as you skip the queues and move with ease, unearthing some of the must-see treasures. Head up Table Mountain on the cable-car, venture down to the Peninsula. Explore the V&A Waterfront, and try a sunset cruise. You’ll definitely want to tick these ones off your list.

It's just a few steps from your hotel to the City Sightseeing bus stop. The ‘red bus’ as it is called by the locals will take you through various routes with an informative audio guide and is included on your 3-days pass. It’s a great way to get your bearings of the city, but you could also hire  a car and delve into the epicentre of the Cape Winelands' gourmet scene too.

Day 9: It’s Been Great

Make the most of your last day in Cape Town by exploring the quirky streets of the city centre for some last minute shopping at the boutique shops and galleries.

Coffee lover? Grab a cup at one of the cities many coffee hotspots, or if you're feeling adventurous, how about a glass of wine for the road? Today you will be taken to the airport via a private road transfer to catch your scheduled flight out.
