Sailing and Boating

Enjoy a sunset Dhow Safari - At around 17:30, when the sun is starting to set, a boat will take you to a deserted sandy beach, where your host will take you on a short evening stroll. On your return, the chairs will be ready and you can enjoy sundowners surrounded by the serene Indian Ocean.

Other activities include: sailing, Laser I and II dinghies, kayaking and deep-sea fishing charters. Diving can be arranged with the nearby diving centre.

Cultural Tours

Bagamoyo is an important cultural heritage site for Tanzania. Famous for its slave and ivory trade, Bagamoyo was also the first capital of Tanzania under German Colonial rule until it shifted in 1892 to Dar es Salaam. Bagamoyo was referred to as the “gateway to the dark continent“ by explorers including Livingstone, Burton, Speke, Stanley, Grant and others who used Bagamoyo to launch their expeditions to find the source of the Nile.
