Location of Gorah Elephant Camp in Addo

Gorah Elephant Camp is situated in a 5000 hectare concession in the heart of Addo Elephant National Park in South Africa.

Gorah Elephant Camp is situated within the 14,000 hectares of Addo Elephant Park, 70km north-east of Port Elizabeth on the Eastern Cape coast, which is considered to be the start or finish of the Garden Route. This makes it one of the nearest game lodges to Cape Town to have the 'Big Five', with considerable numbers of elephants, buffalo and even some black rhino and lion.

Addo is an area of undulating indigenous bush in the Sunday's River Valley. The park was proclaimed in 1931 to preserve elephants, and has recently expanded to take over farmland all the way to the sea.

You will find the weather to be warm during the summer months (September to April) with max temperature between 25ºC - 35ºC. Winter months are chilly at night and dawn, however the daytime temperatures can be pleasantly warm.
