The snow-capped beauty of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park will dazzle guests at Tortilis Camp, the brightness gleams in the sun, changing to a glowing pink at sunset. There are views of this natural wonder from everywhere in the camp.
Early explorers in Africa were treated with derision when they reported a snowy mountain so close to the equator, but there it is for all to see. Tortilis Camp lies on the plains before Mount Kilimajaro, Amboseli National Park, Kenya.
Tortilis Camp is set amongst an acacia thicket which bustles with birdlife. Every aspect of the lodge is designed to blend in with the surroundings and without impact on the ecosystem. The camp is open all year round.
Amboseli is home to over 1000 thousand elephants, guests can follow the matriarchal herds on a guided game drive or really get close to it all on a bush walk, led by an experienced Maasai guide.
Amboseli Airstrip is a 45 minute transfer from the camp. There are daily scheduled flights from Nairobi to Amboseli.
