Game Drives
Interpretive game drives are conducted in open safari vehicles accompanied by experienced rangers and Xhosa trackers. On exciting night game drives, fascinating nocturnal animals including Aardwolf, Aardvark, Cape Fox, Porcupine, Springhare and Bat-eared Fox are regularly encountered.
Walking Safaris
Guided bush walks introduce you to wild Africa at its best. Especially rewarding is hiking along the Great Fish River for bird enthusiasts and those interested in vegetation and folklore. Fishing is also available, but 'tag and release' is supported by Kwandwe.
Alternative Activities
Other activities at Kwandwe Private Game Reserve are canoeing along the Great Fish River in a sturdy canoe and rhino tracking on foot under the guidance of an experienced ranger and tracker, golf and polo tours in the vicinity of Kwandwe.

Kwandwe Private Game Reserve offers also a specialist experience for guests looking for that little something extra while on safari. Frontiers @ Kwandwe is a unique adventure exploring the rich historical and cultural past of the Eastern Cape, led by Kwandwe's resident raconteur and historian Alan Weyer. Twice-daily game drives in private safari vehicles are combined with exciting visits to ancient San (Bushmen) Rock Art sites and neighbouring military towns and forts.
Conservation
Carnivore Research @ Kwandwe is a fascinating tour, where guests can learn about the ongoing research at Kwandwe and carnivore programme. Be lucky to spot the predators of this area such as Leopard, Lion, Cheetah and Wild Dog. This exciting tour is led by Angus Sholto-Douglas who is co-owner of Kwandwe Private Game Reserve.
