Day 1: Welcome to Victoria Falls
Today you will arrive in Victoria Falls - one of the 7 natural wonders of the world!
You will be transferred to one of the best lodges near Victoria Falls with superb facilities and service. Settle into your luxury tented suite and enjoy the picturesque views, spacious deck and private plunge pool.
Take respite in a relaxing bath and enjoy the beautiful view from your tub or embrace nature and take an alfresco shower surrounded by the wilderness.
There are many all-inclusive activities for you to try - from guided nature walks, to local village visits or an exciting Victoria Falls Canopy Tour. Sundowner cocktails overlooking the scenic Batoka Gorge are a must if you can squeeze it in before dinner
Day 2: Explore the Mighty Vic Falls
Start the day with a delicious breakfast with a view of Victoria Falls - then get ready to get closer to the mighty falls on a guided tour. Feel the spray on your skin as you navigate the rainforest taking in the majesty of Vic Falls.
After working up an appetite there is no more beautiful place to enjoy lunch than at the Lookout Cafe - The views of Victoria Fall Bridge and the gorge below are spectacular!
To make this day even more special you will visit the Elephant Sanctuary and Orphanage that cares for orphaned and injured elephants. Whenever possible these beautiful creatures are rehabilitated and released back into the wild.
Day 3: Elephant Express Rail Safari
Get your Victoria Falls safari on! Today is when you will meet a variety of African wildlife and it starts even before you reach your safari lodge! After breakfast, you will be transferred to Dete (a 2-hour drive) and then you will catch the Elephant Express railcar to your safari lodge in Hwange National Park.
This unique rail transfer takes 2.5 hours and lets you take in the beautiful passing scenery and wildlife along the way. Individual coach seating at teak tables, drinks and snacks are provided. Large windows and aisles mean you can move around to see the best wildlife sightings en route.
Your safari lodge in Hwange National Park is designed around an ancient Camelthorn tree and provides luxury accommodation in 2-storey private forest villas. Facilities include a bath and shower, fireplace, deck with a hammock, day bed and all the creature comforts one could need.
Your first game drive is an exciting night time adventure - explore the wilds of Hwange National Park with your expert guide as he points out nocturnal creatures. You may be lucky enough to see your first lion, leopard or hyena.
Day 4: Safari in Hwange National Park
Wake up to the sounds of untamed Africa just waiting to be explored.
Today you will spend the day on safari in Hwange National Park which is teeming with wildlife! Animals you may see include lion, cheetah, buffalo, rhino, giraffe, zebra, impala, warthogs and elephants.
Guided morning, afternoon and evening safaris mean you have many opportunities to find those animals on your bucket list, while still being able to relax and enjoy the comforts of your safari lodge. Have a soothing massage in between game viewing or just relax on a hammock and enjoy the stillness of the bushveld.
Photography lovers will be in for a treat when visiting the underground hide, strategically built in front of a waterhole that attracts wildlife. Get the best up-close photos of Elephants and other wildlife without disturbing them.
After a thrilling day on safari, you can swap stories during dinner served under a gorgeous giant Camelthorn tree.
Day 5: Rail Safari to Vic Falls
On the last day of your Victoria Falls Safari you will fuel up on a delicious breakfast and squeeze in one final morning game drive or bush walk before you depart on your journey back to Victoria Falls.
This won’t be the end of your wildlife adventure as you can spot more wildlife on the relaxing rail journey back to Dete.
A road transfer will then take you from Dete back to Victoria Falls where you will continue with your onward travel arrangements.
