The Samburu National Reserve in Kenya is an arid wilderness with dramatic landscapes and the Usao Nyiro River running through it. Herds of Elephant, Buffalo and Zebra drink daily at the river. The reserve is located in the north of the country.

Samburu Intrepids is located 345km (214 miles) north of Nairobi. The journey to the camp involves a 50 minute flight to the Samburu airstrip followed by a 20 minute drive through the reserve.
