Olerai House has 5 exquisite double rooms with en-suite bathrooms. All the rooms at this Kenya country lodge are furnished with natural materials and decorated with local art and colourful fabrics. Sweet smelling jasmine, home-baked biscuits, soft gowns and country flowers welcome you to your rooms.

Dudu Bedroom

This bedroom overlooks the acacia forest, boasting spectacular views from its large windows. Designed using local materials, the bedroom is tastefully decorated in handcrafted furnishings.

Saba Bedroom

Decorated in wooden furnishing and Africa design, this option offers accommodation in two en-suite bedrooms. Ideal for a family or group of friends, this bedroom has it sown verandah.

Twiga Bedroom

Located in a separate house, along with Ndovu Room, this room has an en-suite bathroom. Twiga, the Swahili word for Giraffe, was kept in mind when decorating this room. The open-plan bedroom has a bed in the middle with windows all around.

Ndovu Bedroom

Named after the Elephant, this bedroom is located in the same house as Twiga Bedroom. This wooden paneled room has an en-suite bathroom and large windows boasting extensive views.

The Cottage Bedroom

Looking out onto the well-manicured garden, this wooden paneled cottage is situated across the piazza from the main house.

Shared Facilities

A wonderful place to share the day's adventures with new-found friends; the Olerai House drawing room offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere. A fireplace, comfortable chaises and the ambience of an African night will relax the body and soothe the senses.

Meals at Olerai are a sumptuous affair. Menus are full of farm grown organic vegetables, picked fresh from the estate's gardens, freshly made bread and pasta, succulent farm lamb, lake fish, tropical fruit, specially made cheese and ice-cream.

Books, films and information on Elephant are provided for guests. At night, flame torches and lanterns light up the camp along the river. Baboons call out as Leopard stalk, while Lion and Elephant are always nearby. It is the only camp of its kind in Samburu.
