Chiefs Beach Villa
A contemporary African hideout, this beach villa in Malawi enjoys a location close to the beach. Set in indigenous vegetation and boasting maximum privacy, this 2-bedroom en-suite villa has a king-size bed and two single beds prepared in locally embroided Malawian linen.
The villa has a sitting room, tea and coffee making facilities, a mini bar, and a private beachfront garden where afternoons can be spent lounging on the sun beds and staring into an horizon adorned by a beautiful African sunset.
Lake Villa
The Makokola Retreat has 9 spacious Lake Villas, each submerged in the well-maintained gardens boasting views of Lake Malawi. The lakefront villas each have a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and bathtub.
Accommodating 2 adults in each villa, each one also has a sitting area with tea and coffee making facilities. The villas are decorated in traditional African design and have a private veranda ideal for peaceful afternoons in the sun.
Beach Room
Each of the 26 lakeside rooms can accommodate 4 guests - either 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Of the 26 rooms, 11 are family rooms, 13 are twin rooms and 2 are double rooms.
Beds are dressed in Malawian cotton and each room has an en-suite bathroom with a shower and bathtub. There is a private terrace with sun chairs just outside each room.
Family Room
Guests travelling with children would be best accommodated in one of the 12 Family Rooms, consisting of 6 family rooms and 6 twin rooms. Each room sleeps 2 adults and 4 children in bunk beds. The bathroom has a shower and the private terrace has sun chairs, ideal for outdoor relaxation with full garden views.
