Getting to Makalali Game Lodge

Guests can reach Makalali Game Lodge via daily flights from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa, to Eastgate (Hoedspruit) or Phalaborwa Airports, depending on which flight guests take. Charter flights can be booked on request and guests will arrive at Makalali Game Lodge's airstrip.

Guests can also drive to Makalali. The drive from Johannesburg, South Africa, will take about 5 hours, while driving from Nelspruit will take about 2 and a half hours. Guests arriving at Eastgate (Hoedspruit) Airport will take 45 minutes to drive to the lodge, while guests arriving at Phalaborwa Airport will take an hour. Guests travelling from the Sabi Sand Reserve can expect a 2-hour drive to Makalali Game Lodge.
