La Clé Lodge is located in the town of Franschhoek, just an hour and 40 minutes drive from the city of Cape Town. It is set on 32 Cabriere Street, putting you right at the heart of this flourishing French-inspired hub.
Franschhoek is one of South Africa’s oldest towns, first settled by the Huguenot refugees in 1688. Most of the historic wine farms in Franschhoek still carry the names of the towns in France where the settlers came from – Chamonix, La Motte, Cabrière and Provence, to name a few.
On the drive there you can expect to witness the most incredible countryside views. If time allows, be sure to make a few photo pit stops, and stop in at some roadside shops along the way.
