Barge On at Sunset
Nothing beats gliding down a river on a barge with a sundowner drink in hand watching the African sun set. Kings Pool water-based activities on the Linyanti River are offered on the Queen Sylvia barge. The best time to step aboard is at sunset when the landscape is engulfed in a fiery glow.
Sip on a sundowner drink and capture those Instagram worthy shots of African fish eagles and herds of marauding elephant families.
Guided Nature Walks
You can also embark on guided nature walks at Kings Pool. We highly recommended this walk for birding enthusiasts, especially as the reserve is an internationally recognised Important Bird Area (IBA). Nature walks are seasonal, so if you’re interested in one, be sure to ask your Siyabona Botswana Specialists to confirm availability.
Guided Game Drives
Kings Pool offers you day and night game drives with 5 x 6-seater open 4x4 Land Cruisers. Hot water bottles, blankets and lined ponchos are provided on cold winter mornings. With knowledgeable and qualified safari guides and limited guests on the safari vehicle, you are assured of a ‘window’ seat.

Fishing and Scenic Helicopter Flights
At Kings Pool, you can also try your hand at catch and release fishing. Take note that fishing is not allowed during January and February for fish breeding purposes. If you are adventurous, take to the skies on a private helicopter flight. Your safari by helicopter will take you to the inaccessible, to areas that would otherwise be impossible to visit.
