Chundu Island is situated 21kms from Victoria Falls within the Zambezi National Park. Our Destination Specialists can arrange private road transfers from Livingstone (Zambia), Kasane (Botswana) and Victoria Falls Airport and town (Zimbabwe).
Since this Victoria Falls lodge is located on an island, it is not possible to drive straight there. From the park gate, it takes an hour and 10 minutes to drive to the jetty, where a short 5-minute pontoon boat cruise will whisk you away, straight to the lodge.
A fantastic way of getting to Chundu Island is on a 30-minute jet boat ride from the A'Zambezi jetty. Get a road transfer from the Airport to the A'Zambezi jetty and then embark on a thrilling jet boat ride directly to the lodge.
The Zambezi National Park was split off from Victoria Falls National Park in 1979. During your transfer to Chundu Island, you'll experience its signature Mopane woodland areas where an estimated 400 species of birds have been recorded. There are also larger mammals to be found here including elephant, lion, buffalo, herds of sable antelope, eland, zebra, giraffe, kudu, waterbuck and impala.
