Lokuthula Lodges
Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Lokuthula Lodges consist of two family-friendly accommodation options located on the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge Estate and within proximity to Victoria Falls, on the Zimbabwean side.

Why We Love it and You Will Too

  • Perfect for small groups and families, the 2-bedroomed lodge accommodates 6 people, while the 3-bedroom option caters for 8.
  • Each unit features air-conditioning, a fully-equipped kitchen, a lounge, private terrace and braai (BBQ) area. The best way to describe it is that it feels very much like a home away from home.
  • The Lokuthula lodges are located within a comfortable distance of Victoria Falls town where you can partake in all sorts of land-based safari activities, from sundowner boat cruises, canoeing or fishing adventures to bush walks and 4x4 game drives.
  • In between activities, relax by the outdoor pool with wilderness views all around you, including an occasional and welcomed visit from warthogs, guinea fowls, bushbucks and mongooses.
  • The Boma Cafe serves a stellar breakfast and after a few sundowners at the Buffalo Bar later in the day, you can get your toes tapping during an evening drum performance at the outdoor boma.

Your Lokuthula Lodges Experience

Location is everything at Lokuthula Lodges. Nestled amongst a garden and surrounded by indigenous bush, it stands as a peaceful and down to earth kind of place for those wanting to feel close to Victoria Falls, but with just enough distance from the tourist hordes.

Lokuthula is not your typical lodge. It consists of two main lodges; a two-bedroom and a three-bedroom, making it just the kind of place that families and small groups can settle in to. Each unit comes with a fully-equipped kitchen, lounge area, patio and braai (BBQ) area so you can spend your holiday feeling as comfortable and relaxed as you would in your own home.

At this Victoria Falls accommodation, or should we say, homestead, you (and your group or family) can set the pace, whether you want to spend a day by the pool, or lighting up the fire for a lazy afternoon BBQ. And while it’s great feeling like a local, if you’re not in the mood to cook, make a beeline for the Boma Cafe and let the chefs do it for you. There’s also a well-stocked bar on site: the iconic Buffalo Bar where guests can mix and mingle for sundowners while the kids scurry off to the playground and volleyball court.

When you’re ready to get your blood pumping and heart racing, eveyone will be spoilt for choice when it comes to activities in and around Victoria Falls. Take your pick from fishing trips, sundowner cruises on the Zambezi River, kayaking, river rafting, bush walks and 4x4 game drives within the Zambezi National Park.
