Things to do at Ol Tukai Lodge

Whether it’s an Amboseli safari in Kenya, bush conference or dream wedding, Ol Tukai offers great activities and all modern conveniences overlooking Mt. Kilimanjaro.

The Kenya Safari Experience

Ol Tukai has a beautiful open setting and sweeping views of the plains and Kilimanjaro from all parts of the lodge. Big Five safaris, birding walks and Maasai cultural evenings are offered on an Amboseli safari in Kenya at Ol Tukai Lodge.

Known to be one of the best spots in the world to watch Elephant, Ol Tukai’s eastern boundary is home to several families. Lecturers from Elephant Research regularly give interesting, informative lectures at the lodge. On game drives in the magnificent Amboseli National Park, guests can see nearly all the Big Five and a wide variety of game.

Bird Walks

The area surrounding the lodge is home to over 150 species of birds. Guests can enjoy a short bird walk that starts at the entrance of the hotel and rambles under the canopy of acacia trees around the lodge. Interesting insights into the life of African birds can also be gained accompanied by the resident Ornithologist.

Champagne breakfast

Guests enjoy a superb start to the day whilst appreciating the sights and sounds of the Amboseli Plain and the stunning backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. A lavish champagne buffet breakfast is served in a secluded setting amongst the tortilis trees, just a stone’s throw away from the family of resident Ol Tukai Elephant.

Sundowner Cocktail

This is a superb way to round off an afternoon Amboseli safari in Kenya, relaxing over a favourite drink as the sun sets across the plains. Noomotio, the table-topped observation hill is the perfect sundowner spot for hot and cold canapés and refreshing cocktails, whilst the sun melts into the horizon in a blaze of colour and the game of Amboseli settle for the night.

Out Of Africa Bush Dinner

This unique African experience is held in a secret Maasai setting, just a short walk from Ol Tukai Lodge, amongst night lanterns and fresh bush clearings made by the heard of Elephant nearby. Guests enjoy a specially prepared candle lit four course meal which includes barbequed meat to order. Under the stars, the Maasai Moran warriors dance and sing their battle songs around a bonfire.

Conference Facilities

The conference room at Ol Tukai Lodge is fully equipped with video, flip charts, projector and other relevant apparatus. The room accommodates up to 200 delegates on an Amboseli safari in Kenya and the management is happy to cater for specific seating requirements.
