Tshwene Lodge is located in the heart of one of South Africa's leading game reserves - Welgevonden Private Game Reserve. In addition to a large diversity of antelope, the malaria-free Welgevonden Private Game Reserve is once again home to Rhino, Buffalo, Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and Wild dog.
Surrounded by magnificent rocky outcrops, the lodge is named after the Chacma baboons that love the bumpy terrain there. Five luxury suites at Tshwene offer guests a completely different bush experience. Peace and tranquility are the order of the day here too, the stillness interrupted only by the barking of baboons in the surrounding outcrops.
At Tshwene Lodge game drives are conducted in specialized safari vehicles, allowing for great photographic opportunities. Professional guides and trackers offer an interpretive experience of the wilderness. As the Southern Cross and Orion's Belt garland the dome of the night sky, the distant smell of campfire from the open-air Boma welcomes guests back from their evening game drive to a hearty traditional meal.
