Tangala House offers luxurious Zambia game lodge accommodation in one of four bedrooms with en-suite bathroom facilities and a private swimming pool. The house is ideal for family safari holidays.
Rooms
The master bedroom faces the Zambezi River and has a king size teak bed with sitting area and sofa, bathroom with large double bath set into railway sleepers, and shower. Bedroom II also faces the Zambezi River, and has a queen size 4-poster iron bed, with a walk-in bath and shower.
Bedroom III has a king-size teak bed, with walk in bathroom with large double bath and shower. Bedroom IV has twin beds and a bathroom across the passageway, with cast iron bath.
The veranda easily seats 10, and is open thatch with steps onto the lawn and towards the swimming pool and the terrace, which has a railway sleeper picnic table seating eight. The main swimming pool is 11m x 5m, with an extra shallow area for children and bench seating. In front of the house is a grass lawn, which drops one metre to 20 metres of wild riverine grassland and then to the Zambezi River. The house has 250m of private river frontage, with no properties on either side.
Amenities
The living room of your Zambia game lodge has a large sofa and two armchairs, and leads onto a 'snuggery' with satellite TV, video, HiFi and jetmaster fireplace. The Tangala House also features two telephones. Most of the rooms have very high thatch ceilings and the passages have large 3-4 metre high 'Moroccan' arches, with one metre thick walls. This all helps to keep the house cool and well ventilated.
Facilities
The kitchen and dining area is spacious and features stunning views of the Zambezi. Tangala House is well equipped, with a fridge and freezer, fan assisted double oven, gas cooker, ceramic double sinks, a separate drinks fridge and a microwave oven.
The large dining table seats 12 guests. Tangala House comes with one house assistant and 2 grounds men. The house assistant will help with cooking, housekeeping and laundry.
