Shepherds Tree Game Lodge is just the place for a bush getaway or conference, only 15 minutes drive from Sun City Resort. On safari in Pilanesberg Game Reserve you can combine game viewing with all the trimmings for a memorable bush break. In the evenings enjoy exciting entertainment in the form of fire poi, interactive drumming displays plus traditional dance, marimba and percussion bands.
Game Viewing
The Pilanesberg is a special wildlife area due to the overlap of habitat zones and environments. The geological features of the reserve are of ancient volcanic origin and quite unique in the world. See the most sought after animals and more in a private land concession as well as in the main reserve. There are about 55 of the larger mammal species plus at least 350 species of bird.
Apart from the Big Five animals you can spot rarities such as Cheetah, the nocturnal Brown Hyena and beautiful Sable Antelope while overhead keep a look out for Verreaux’s Eagle. Both Black and White Rhino favour the environment around the lodge and there are regular sightings made of Elephant and Lion nearby.

Indulge yourself in a range of wonderful treatments! The Amani Spa offers 3 treatment rooms and lovely views of the reserve from all of them. Two of the rooms can be used for couple’s treatments and one room has a hydrotherapy bath.
Conference Centre
Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge offers a tailor-made conference / incentive and event service. The fully equipped centre can accommodate up to 70 delegates in a classroom type layout or a range of other options.
