Sleeping just 16 guests and with panoramic views of the Zambezi, Sekoma Island is a welcome getaway to fish, relax and enjoy organised walks in the wilderness. Day trips to Victoria Falls and Livingstone can also be arranged whilst on safari in Zambia.
Sekoma Island is situated in a renowned Tiger Fishing area on the Mambova Rapids; there are also a number of other species here such as Bream - including Nembwe, Thinface, Humpback, Redbreast, Three Spot Tilapia and Pink Happy, also Sharptoothed Catfish as well as African Pike.
Fishing in Zambia at Sekoma Island is operated on a very strict catch and release system, this policy is in place to protect and preserve the environment. Guests can test their skills from the island or go on dug-out canoe (mokoro) and motor-boat fishing safaris.
For those who would just like to explore the river and surrounds there are boating excursions accross the majestic Zambezi River. Guests can spot a number of game including and cultural visits to the local village at Mambova.
