Game Viewing
Start your South Africa safari holiday at Elephant Plains Game Lodge with an early morning game drive, stopping for some rusks (biscuits) and hot coffee along the way. Alternatively, guests can enjoy an afternoon game drive and stop for sundowners in the African bush.
Guests who wish to experience the African bush up close will enjoy the guided bush walks. Your guide will be able to inform you about various animal tracks, different types of grasses and trees and birds spotted along the way.
Photographic Safaris
The Tusk Photo team of wildlife photographers at Elephant Plains Game Lodge will turn your ordinary wildlife photography into works of art! Game drives provide ample opportunity to photograph your favourite animals, however the Tusk Photo photographic safaris take place over a 4 day period accompanied by 2 professional photographers on morning and afternoon game drives. Photographic workshops offer the opportunity to further develop your skills.
Evenings at the Lodge
After drinks, guests will be able to spot some of Sabi Sand's nocturnal wildlife before returning to Elephant Plains Game Lodge for a delicious dinner. Evening meals are served around a blazing fire under the star studded sky in the boma (outdoor enclosure). Alllow the knowledgeable ranger to introduce you to the stars during a star gazing session.
