Situated in a malaria free area and wild flower paradise just outside Oudtshoorn, this Garden Route accommodation has a variety of wildlife including meerkats and excellent activities in beautiful surroundings. The farm is situated on the R62 wine route, from Cape Town to Mossel Bay, about 4 hours from Cape Town.
Guests can choose between attractive rooms in the De Zeekoe Main House or cosy private Stone Cottages that are a 5 minute drive from the Main House.
There is a saltwater swimming pool at the main house and guests can look forward to delicious meals and seasonal produce from the organic garden. In the evenings an a la carte menu is served complimented by a hand picked selection of local wines. Picnic baskets can also be requested by guests.
This area is famous for its high quality stargazing incredibly clear night skies draw enthusiasts from far and wide. day time activities on the farm include biking, hiking, fishing, canoeing and birding, there are 168 species to be found here, guest can keep a look out for a resident pair of fish eagles that are the subjects of a research project in the Western Cape.
On bookings only, 'Shy 5' tours can be conducted on the farm, where you can hopefully see the elusive Bat-Eared Fox, Meerkats, Aardvark, Porcupine and Aardwolf.
