Your Taita Falcon Lodge Experience
Taita Falcon Lodge certainly has plenty going for it. For a start, there’s the superb location overlooking the raw, winding waters of the Zambezi River and the dramatic cliffs of the Batoka Gorge.
It’s also just down the way from Victoria Falls (on the Zambian side) and there’s plenty to keep you busy within close vicinity. Experience the falls in all her wonder, try a canoe trip, some white water rafting or take a day trip to the Chobe National Park in Botswana. You could even head along Taita’s walking trail which will take you through an indigenous forest and down 230m into the gorge.
You’ll never get bored here, but there’s also no pressure to feel like you have to do something every day. Relaxation is encouraged, and easy to do, especially when the food is so great, the service sound and the views are out of this world.
As for your accommodation, Taita Falcon Lodge features simple yet stylish en-suite chalets keeping in tune with its wilderness surrounds. The whole lodge was designed to showcase the views that surround it, and it does this exceptionally well.
When you’re not catching 40 winks in your room, take up a spot at the open-air bar and lounge perched over the Batoka cliffs. It’s the perfect place to sit and take in the magic of the vistas at sunset.
This is also the best spot in the house during the early mornings. Taita Falcon Lodge is located right above rapids 16 and 17, so you can watch the white-water rafters tackle the swirling waters below as you sip on a fresh cup of Joe.
