Jack's Camp is situated right on the edge of the breathtaking and immense Makgadikgadi Pans, Botswana. The pans are situated in central north Botswana.
The Makgadikgadi Pans dry season, from April to October, offers the classic crusted salt pans and is ideal for quad biking. the rainy season starts in November transforming the Makgadikgadi Pans into a watery grassland oasis teeming with wildlife. This is known as the Green Season (November to March)
The Makgadikgadi Salt Pans consist of two major basins, relics of a massive lake and swampland that existed millions of years ago. The lake dried up thousands of years ago due to the continual shift of the earth's crust.
Guests can access Jack's Camp by road from Maun or fly in by light aircraft.
Board a flight to Johannesburg or Cape Town, and then to Maun in Botswana. From Maun, a charter plane will take you to Jack's Camp.
