Camp Moremi is situated on the breathtaking Xakanaxa Lagoon in the eastern region of the Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana. This area is one of Africa's finest wildlife sanctuaries so expect some amazing game drives in open 4X4 safari vehicles, bird watching and exploring the Xakanaxa Lagoon by powerboat.
At the Moremi Game Reserve, you will witness the life giving waters of the Okavango meeting the vastness of the Kalahari, ancient Mopane forests, open grass plains, seasonal floodplains and riverine habitats.
You will arrive at your Africa lodge, Camp Moremi by light aircraft operating from Maun, Kasane (which you will be traveling to by road, if traveling from Livingstone or Victoria Falls) or any of the other camps or lodges in Botswana. Private air charters can be arranged at your requests to take you to any destination in Botswana.
Access to Camp Moremi is by charter aircraft from Maun and Kasane (served by daily road transfers from Victoria Falls) to Xakanaxa airstrip. This safari lodge may also be reached by 4X4 drive vehicles or by a unique boat transfer form Camp Okavango.
Camp Moremi can also be accessed by road for self drivers. Please note that it is necessary to drive a 4X4 that is capable of handling very rugged road conditions. Directions to the camp are not easy to navigate and this option is only recommended for seasoned travelers with vast experience in off road traveling.
