With an exciting agreement between Zambia and Zimbabwe in place, the Victoria Falls Steam Train Company has developed a unique and historic activity for visitors at this wonderful destination. The authentic steam train No. 512 is a class 14A Garratt and one of the last of its kind still in use in Africa.

This steam locomotive was designed and built by Beyer Peacock in the United Kingdom at Manchester in 1953. The train consists of a boiler with a steam engine mounted on either side plus vintage carriages which offer dining, bar and lounge facilities with different configurations depending on requirements.
