iSimangaliso Wetland Park
Isimangaliso is made up of 3 huge lake systems, the largest estuary in Africa, miles and miles of pristine beaches, rare coastal forest, rolling grasslands and beautiful coral reefs. You can see Big Five game and huge populations of Hippo and Crocodile plus a great variety of birdlife that is enough to send any birding enthusiast scrambling for their checklists.
In the marine reserve you can descend into the depths on spectacular scuba diving adventures or stay on the surface and snorkel to your heart's content. See beautiful hard and soft corals, sponges, Reef fish, Tiger Sharks, Mantas, Morays and seasonal visitors like Ragged-tooth Sharks, Whale Sharks and Whales. In summer you can join Turtles Nesting tours on the beaches at night.
