Directions to The Hide Safari Camp

The Hide Safari Camp in Hwange National Park is easily accessible and is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery.

The Hide is located in the Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. The Park is the third largest park in Africa at 14,600 sq. km which is roughly the size of Belgium. To make travel easier, there are various ways to reach the camp via road or air.

How to Get There

By Air

Most guests fly into Victoria Falls Airport and then take the 2 hour road transfer to Hwange Main Camp where you are met by a Hide representative. The Hide is approximately one-and-a-half hours from Hwange Airport by road. There are currently no scheduled flights into Hwange Airport but charter flights can be arranged.

By Road

Guests can also choose to self-drive to The Hide Safari Camp in their own 4-wheel drive vehicles.

Best time to visit

Summer is from October to March and winter (cool/dry season) is from May to August. Being on the edge of the Kalahari, the days are invariably warm but the nights and early mornings can get very cold in the Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe.

July to October are some of the best months for game viewing, as the bushveld is dry and the wildlife congregates around the pans. January to May is another beautiful time when mothers give birth to their young.
