Tarangire, Tanzania

Tarangire Treetops, a Tarangire safari camp in Tanzania, is an innovative and original property, consisting of 20 luxury chalets built upon platforms amongst a cluster of baobab and mopani trees.
  • Lodging: 20 en-suite treetop rooms built in the branches of a baobab tree
  • Location: Southwest of Arusha, in the Tarangire National Park, Tanzania
  • Activities: Day and night game drives, walking safaris, Masai village tours, ballonn safaris, bush dining and sundowners

This Tanzania game lodge in Tarangire National Park is surrounded by gigantic baobab trees. The tree houses face the Tarangire River - a favourite waterhole for the large Elephant population. Views are spectacular with the Great African Rift Valley and Lake Manyara to the east, and the distinctive peak of majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro to the west.

The interior at Tarangire Treetops is tastefully styled and prepared with all the luxuries you would expect from a top Tanzania game lodge including private verandas, swimming pool, outstanding safari cuisine accompanied by fine wines and excellent game viewing.

Being situated just outside Tarangire National Park but still within a conservation area, has the advantage that spotlit night drives are allowed, as well as walking safaris, mountain biking amongst Africa's game and overnight fly camp excursions into the bush.

Tarangire is the best-kept secret on Tanzania northern safari circuit and a year-round safari destination. The high density of game here makes a trip to Tarangire National Park well worth a visit.
