Driving in South Africa:All vehicles drive on the LEFT hand side of the road in South Africa. Wearing a seatbelt is a must. If there are seatbelts in the back seats, then passengers must make use of them. The roads are well sign-posted regarding speed limits and things to take note of. Please note that the laws are very strict about drinking alcohol and driving.
Take note that you must have a valid driver's license printed in English. If you do not meet these requirements, please make sure to get an International Driving Permit before coming to South Africa. |
