Getting to Finch Hattons Camp, Tsavo West

Tsavo West National Park is an untouched haven of pure wilderness consisting of open savannah, rolling hills, riverine forests and freshwater springs. Tsavo West is dominated by the black lava flow known locally as Sheitani (devil).

This African safari lodge is located in Tsavo West National Park, Kenya. Together with the Tsavo East, this park is the largest national park in Kenya, and one of the largest in Africa.

This park is an untouched haven of pure wilderness consisting of open savannah, rolling hills, riverine forests and freshwater springs. Tsavo West is dominated by the black lava flow known locally as Sheitani (devil).

Tsavo is well known for its herds of 'Red Elephant' - Elephant whose skin has been stained from the local ochre dust and mud. The Tsavo West National Park in Kenya is home to the largest population of Elephant in East Africa. Other wildlife commonly seen in this area includes Giraffe, Eland, Buffalo, Impala, Hartebeest, Bushbuck and Wildebeest.

Access to Finch Hattons safari camp in Kenya

This Africa safari lodge is accessible from the Mtito Andei Gate on the Nairobi - Mombassa main road. Finch Hatton has its own airstrip for easy access by chartered or private aircraft which is a 5 minute drive from the camp. A 1 hour flight from Nairobi of from Mombasa will deliver you to the airstrip.

There are regular flights from Finch Hatton to Nairobi from Wilson Airport. There are also daily flights to Finch Hatton from Mombassa and Ukunda.
