Excursions
A stay at the Wolwedans Dune Camp brings the opportunity to explore the vast nature of the NamibRand Nature Reserve in Sossusvlei. Exciting excursions are led by experienced guides in desert-adapted vehicles to explore the diverse fauna and flora of NamibRand. Morning, afternoon or full-day drives are among the desert excursions to choose from. Sundowner drives are truly an enchanting experience - refreshing beverages are sipped while observing the magical desert sunset over the spectacular dunes - and day drives cover a bigger landscape and a chance to witness more wildlife.
Walking Safaris
A separate concession in the reserve called TokTokkie Trails offers specialised guided walking trails in the southeast section of NamibRand Nature Reserve. The pace of walking safaris are leisurely and cover 10 km of vast land to see the smaller wanderers of the reserve. Walk on the lands that were walked by the indigenous Bushmen and enjoy a picnic under the shade of the ancient camel-thorn trees.
Ballooning
One of the most magical ways to witness the allure of NamibRand Nature Reserve is by hot air ballooning. Hot air ballooning is a seasonal activity taking you over the sand dunes for a memorable 360-degree view. After you have witnessed the beauty of the Namib Desert, you will stop to savour a champagne breakfast.
Scenic Flights
