White River is situated north of Nelspruit in Mpumalanga in South Africa. It is a very popular small town because it is 46 km from Hazyview which is the easiest access point to Kruger National Park. White River has a reputation for its arts and crafts and is a popular holiday destination for visiting the Crocodile River Valley.
Scenic White River with its three dams and number of nearby forests with its many waterfalls is one of the largest Agricultural areas and produces tropical fruit, lowers and timber. There are a few good restaurants in White River of which the restaurant at the White River Country Estate with the Lowveld forests as a backdrop is spectacular. The town has many historic sites and hiking trails as well as the Lowveld National Botanical Garden (17.60 km away). It also offers endangered wildlife tours, game drives, mountain biking, bush braais, chimpanzee tours, night drives and archery.
