Chalets at Kulala Desert Lodge

Twelve thatch and canvas chalets or 'Kulalas' (local Oshiwambo word meaning 'sleep'), have immaculate en-suite bathrooms and showers.

To maximise airflow in the desert heat, each room is set on a wooden platform with awesome views to the desert dunes. A speciality of this Namibia lodge is the private rooftop stargazing platform above your room. Place your mattress up here for incredible romantic nights watching shooting stars and satellites track across the milky way. Experience the ultimate sense of space above and around you.

Accommodation is in one of 23 thatched canvas tents, each with en-suite bathrooms and verandas. The lodge has three tents to accommodate a family of four.

The main camp area of this Namibia lodge has a lounge, bar, dining area and cooling plunge pool. The veranda overlooks a waterhole which attracts birds and desert-adapted wildlife.

Experience the desert scenery, wildlife and flora on game drives and walks. Spot-lit night drives are a highlight as well as optional early morning ballooning over the desert. A daily laundry service is included in the nightly tariff.
