Day 1: Heading to Kapama
Go on, make use of the premier airport departure lounge in Johannesburg with complimentary drinks and snacks. From here you’ll be well on your way to Hoedspruit Airport near to the Kruger.
After a private road transfer, you will arrive safe and sound at Kapama Private Game Reserve with just enough time to settle in before embarking on your first game drive in the afternoon. It is possible to make some excellent animal sightings on your first day, especially if you are blessed with beginners luck.
After a busy day travelling and game viewing, opt for a private dinner in the wine cellar or on your private deck- this is the perfect end to a day in the African bush. Then, stake out your spot for the night and nestle into your fluffy percale linen bed, as a lion calls out in the distance.
Day 2 - 3: Lodge-Life in the Kruger
Over the next two days you will delight in the absolute comfort at Kapama, but more so the abundant game viewing opportunities that are available to you while staying here.
Besides the Big 5 your tracker-guides will be sure to point out some of the more unique (and also very cute) creatures that also call this area their home. Nothing compares to the thrill of a 4x4 night drive on your Sabi Sands safari, with the chance to spot hyena, honey-badger, civet, jackal, bush-babies and owls.
Walk with the pace of nature as you trek out on foot with the rangers to track animals.Bush walks are great for getting up close to nature, as your guide shows you how to track animals by their dung and spoor. This is an excellent opportunity to encounter some of the smaller creatures that are sometimes overlooked on a game drive. While at Kapama you will also have the optional opportunity for an elephant interaction.
Day 4: Back to the City (for a bit)
After one last game drive a private road transfer will take you back to Hoedspruit for your scheduled flight back to Johannesburg.
While in Johannesburg, you will get your history fix with a private half day city tour of sightseeing which includes the Apartheid Museum which chronicles South Africa’s turbulent past. This is an interesting and meaningful experience, especially for those who are keen on learning more about South Africa’s own national treasure- Nelson Mandela.
After your tour you will be taken to your overnight city accommodation at a Boutique Hotel & Spa. This chic urban sanctuary is located in the heart of Sandton and will assure a pleasant night’s sleep after a busy day taking in the sight of the city.
Day 5 - 9: Hello Paradise!
Switch out the concrete for the soft white sand of Mauritius. Prepare for the ultimate beach break at in Mauritius - your palace among the palms for the next 5 nights.
Switch up your time between lounging on the beach (which is only a few steps away) and taking part in the plethora of activities including kayaking, pedal and laser boating, windsurfing, snorkeling, water skiing, yoga, beach soccer, volleyball and bocci ball.
