The lodge overlooks the Great Fish River and is masterfully contoured to blend with the magnificent landscape. Kwandwe is Xhosa for 'Place of the Blue Crane' as this reserve is home to a population of these majestic endangered birds.

Great Fish River Lodge is set along the steep banks of the Great Fish River. This exclusive safari lodge affords spectacular views of the wild yet gentle African landscape. Uplands Homestead is situated in a remote and tranquil valley, which offers the ultimate personal safari in Africa's wilderness. Kwandwe Ecca Lodge is set in amazing African wilderness surrounds overlooking a spekboom valley wit a backdrop of the distant cliff-faces of ecca shale.
