Ant’s Nest offers a personal and flexible home-from-home experience in the malaria-free Waterberg area of South Africa. With spacious rooms and vast folding doors the thatched lodge blends into the bush while the exotic furniture and brightly coloured African fabrics make it both sophisticated and comfortable.
Nestled in the landscaped gardens, the expansive pool blends naturally into the surroundings. There is a wonderful thatched covered lounge area furnished with large sofa beds for those in need of a siesta or respite from the sun.
Davidson Rooms
Located in the original Ants Nest farmhouse, the 2 Davidson Rooms are connected by a passage that links to a public sitting area. There, guests can find an intimate library of books, an open fireplace, as well as an indoor dining and bar area.
The one suite is a double room with an en-suite bathroom, and a private verandah that leads to an outdoor sitting area and scenic views. Next door, there is another suite that can be made up as a twin or double room, and has its own bathroom.
Rondavels
This double room at Ants Nest with an en-suite bathroom is set in a traditional thatched roof rondavel. This romantic escape is ideal for couples, or for parents travelling with a child, and has its own private verandah and seating area.
Sable Suite
The main house has an upstairs suite ideal for families. The master bedroom has an extra king-size bed with an en-suite bathroom with a waterfall shower and a bathtub, and a dressing area. There is an adjoining en-suite twin bedroom perfect for kids and a 3/4 four poster bed which can accommodate a 3rd child.
The suite has a sitting area and a large fireplace, a dining area with a mini-bar as well as tea/coffee making facilities, and a shady verandah.
Weaver Suite
This en-suite room at Ants Nest has a bath and separate shower, a king-size bed and a large verandah overlooking the bush. Extra beds can be added for parents travelling with up to two children. Perfect for a family safari accommodation
Kingfisher and Flycatcher Rooms
These standard rooms at Ants Nest have a double 4-poster bed with an en-suite bathroom and a private patio close to the main lodge, bar and pool.
