Mbali Mbali Mahale is located in The Mahale Mountains National Park in Western Tanzania. The lodge is situated between Kasiha and Sinsiba streams. Famous for its chimpanzee population, said to be some of Africa's last remaining wild chimpanzees, the Mahale Mountains are a scared hideout for primates and approximately 50 other mammalian species.

The national park in Tanzania is also home to a prolific list of bird life including the Malachite Kingfisher, Pied Kingfisher and Pel's Fishing Owl. The warm waters of Lake Tanganyika showcase a variety of fish species that can be explored in snorkeling excursions and other water activities.

How to Get to Mbali Mbali Mahale

Set in the Mahale Mountains National Park, this Lake Tanganyika accommodation in Tanzania can only be reached by boat or by air . Flights from Arusha and Dar es Salaam and other airstrips in Tanzania can be taken. A boat transfer between the Mahale airstrip and the lodge lasts for about 1.5 hours.
