The Main House
Comfort is the keynote in the bedrooms at Bartholomeus Klip. The bedrooms at this Cape Winelands country hotel accommodation comprise of specially made pure cotton bedding, luxurious toiletries and toweling gowns. There are no TVs to spoil the country feeling (although there are 2 TVs in the main rooms for essential viewing). No children under the age of 16.
Disa Room, with its king-sized bed, has French doors opening onto a capacious verandah. With a king-sized bed and its own verandah, Bartholomeus Klip's Orchid Suite has its own private entrance.
Arum Room (with a double bed or twin beds) is nearest to the swimming pool. The Aagapanthus (with a double bed or twin beds) room has a beautiful trompe l'oeil wall in the bathroom. The Nerina (with a double bed or twin beds) bedroom is on the cool side of the house, comprising of a typical bathroom, with Victorian-style fittings.
Wild Olive House:
This self-catering accommodation welcomes children of all ages. Inside Wild Olive House, there are 2 spacious double bederooms and a smaller room with double bunk beds for children, as well as 2 bathrooms, one with a shower. The cottage has a double bedroom, bathroom and sitting room with a private deck looking up to the Elandskloof Mountains.
The farm-style kitchen has been equipped with everything necessary for self-catering, and the generous dining table seats 10 guests. However, by prior arrangement adults can take meals at Bartholomeus Klip, while a babysitter can be provided for the children.
The extensive outdoor living areas include a leafy covered terrace leading onto a private swimming pool, complete with the essential South African braai (barbecue) area. Wild Olive House and its adjoining cottage share stunning mountain views and farm experiences with Bartholomeus Klip, famous for its luxurious country hospitality.
